ILCAO SMS/Mass Texting Employees Privacy Policy
Policy:
It is the policy of ILCAO that if an employee provides their personal mobile phone number to ILCAO to receive as-needed text messages regarding important company updates, emergency alerts, and time-sensitive information. Data rates may apply. ILCAO will never share the employee’s phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. ILCAO implements strict access controls and data protection measures to ensure that employee phone numbers and personal data are not shared without authorization.
Employees are giving consent by providing their phone number to receive important ILCAO text messages.
Employees are responsible for keeping their personal mobile phone number updated in ADP or by notifying the Human Resources Department.
The employee may opt-out of receiving text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to the message. Employees may request deletion of their phone number or other personal data at any time. Employees who may have questions or concerns regarding the usage of SMS can email Kyle Sowards at ksowards@ilcao.org.
Employees may also Text HELP for assistance with further information pertaining to a message received.
Purpose:
For employees to be notified by an additional form of communication when there may be an emergency or important message that needs to be shared by the ILCAO to all employees.

ILCAO is committed to notifying employees of important and time-sensitive information through SMS messages. Employees have opted-in to receive these messages by having their consent handled internally by HR. The types of messages sent will include critical updates and notifications relevant to agency operations. Message frequency may vary, with an average of 1-2 messages per month.
