ILCAO Awarded INSPIRE Grant by The Appalachian Regional Commission
The Ironton-Lawrence County Community Action Organization was recently awarded the INSPIRE Grant by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). This $500,000 grant will allow the ILCAO to expand its recovery ecosystem by developing an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that will be incorporated into the agency’s Recovery-to-Work (R2W) program. These intensive recovery support services will aid R2W participants in maintaining recovery progress and, therefore, work placement success.
This project will efficiently connect more of our community’s residents who are in early substance use recovery with continued treatment, recovery supports, and workforce readiness tools; additionally, this project will create new recovery-friendly job opportunities within the program, secure placement partnerships with new recovery-friendly employers, and provide local employers with skilled, motivated employees.
