Of course we think working with the ILCAO is a genuinely rewarding and fulfilling career path, but don’t just take our word for it. Here are some stories from our current team members.

I like working for the CAO, because it makes a difference in people’s lives, and it has been good for me and my family.  I’ve continued to work here, because when you look back it’s nice to see what you helped to build up and being part of a quality program.

Kevin Bourne, Hired '91, Maintenance Department, Early Childhood Academy

I am blessed to work for CAO because they are equipped with the tools I need to treat the whole patient. Our organization is full of caring people who are ready and willing to tackle whatever obstacles we need to overcome for the benefit of the patient.

Jennifer Gibson, APRN-CNP, Hired '12, Certified Nurse Practitioner, Family Medical Centers

As an individual facing some of life’s greatest challenges, I found myself having to support my family solely for the first time due to my husband’s illness and given a time frame of 6 months to live, along with being homeless due to a house fire. I entered the one-stop scared and afraid and was guided and touched by each department throughout CAO, assisting me with overcoming my barriers, addressing my needs, and back to self-sufficiency. I utilized the empowering services, workshops, and resource room services.

During these trying times CAO had posted a few positions and I applied, interviewed and was chosen for a position within the agency as WEP Coordinator. This job has given me the opportunity to assist individuals in need, as I was at one time, and open doors toward success and self-sufficiency. Each day I hold myself accountable for showing compassion, integrity, and working together in a team effort to provide opportunities to those in need within my community the way it was shown to me in my time of need.
